On the weekend, the coach of FC Barcelona was noticed for an emotional outburst. This should not happen again in the future.
After his sending-off and emotional outburst last weekend, coach Hansi Flick promised improvement.
“I don’t like it when I see myself like that on TV, and I don’t want my grandchildren to see their grandfather like that,” said the FC Barcelona coach after he received a yellow-red card in Sunday’s league match against Girona (2-1) and celebrated the late winning goal (90+3) with an obscene gesture: “So I probably have to change my behavior.”

Too emotional? Hansi Flick was next to himself
Same reaction earlier
The former national soccer coach assured that he is “no more nervous.” “But perhaps my emotions are no longer the same as before,” said Flick before the Champions League match on Tuesday (6:45 PM on SPORT1 in the LIVE TICKER) against Olympiacos Piraeus.
He referred to the 8-2 in his time as Bayern coach against Barcelona in the 2020 Champions League quarter-finals. “You could see from the pictures that I had the same reaction to the first, second, and eighth goals: People said I never smile,” said Flick.
“I live for the club”
However, in his first year as coach of the Catalans, he has undergone a change.
“At the moment, I’m showing more emotions, that’s true, because this club has completely changed me. I really love this club, I give my best. I live for the club,” said the 60-year-old, who will be suspended for the league Clásico on Sunday (4:15 PM/DAZN) at Real Madrid due to his sending-off.
