Julia Kink pulled the ripcord early after a disappointing World Cup winter.
The four-time junior world champion Julia Kink wanted to attack larger in this biathlon winter for the first time in the World Cup-it worked only to a limited extent.
The 21-year-old could never exhaust her potential due to various health setbacks, and no nomination for the World Cup in Lenzerheide earned. Now the season of the young hopeful person is over.
Julia Kink is targeting next winter
“Due to health challenges, we decided to end my season early,” said Kink at the end of the week on Instagram: “A decision that was very difficult for me … First comes the health, everything else follows.”
Instead of targeting the remaining World Cups in Nove Mesto, Pokljuka and Oslo, Kink started preparing for the coming season at an early stage – from next week she wants to “collect snow kilometers for the coming season” in Norway.
