The current leader of the English Premier League has been running several times with the German brand logo.
The Liverpool FC will in future run into Adidas jerseys. As the German sporting goods manufacturer based in Herzogenaurach announced on Monday, the company has agreed on a “multi -year” partnership with the league leader of the Premier League.
It starts at the start of the 2025/26 football season. Adidas replaces Nike as a liverpool jersey sponsor. The deal is said to be worth around 71 million euros a year, wrote English media.
Liverpool returns to Adidas
Men’s and women’s teams are equipped as well as the young teams and the club’s employees. Liverpool will be wearing Adidas for the third time, this has been the case from 1985 to 1996 and from 2006 to 2012.
Information about the financial framework and the length of the new partnership were not given. English media recently reported an annual payment of 72 million euros and a contract term of five years.
“The club is one of the largest and most cult names in world football with a huge fan base. It is an honor for us to provide the players at a time again so that they can play at the highest level, ”said Bjørn Gulden, CEO of Adidas. The company has already contracted LFC stars such as Mohamed Salah, Alexander-Arnold or Diogo Jota.
“It is the perfect time for us to work together again, and we look forward to designing other iconic jerseys and continuing our success on the pitch that builds on our wonderful, common history,” said Liverpools CEO Billy Hogan. The new jersey is scheduled to be presented on August 1st.
