Hummels announces career end

Mats Hummels announces the end of his active career.

In summer it is over! Mats Hummels will end his active career after the season. The 2014 world champion announced this in a video on social media.

“After over 18 years and so many things that football gave me, I will end my career this summer,” said the 36-year-old in an emotional video clip with the stations of his career: “I will miss it terribly.”

The former BVB and Bayern professional recently played for AS Rome in Serie A.
