Humphries focus: embarrassing breakdown in darts drawing

UK Open Darts: World champion Luke Littler has escaped from the narrow. At the start, the 18-year-old was 10: 9.

An embarrassing breakdown in the draw of the UK Open ensures drama – but there are no consequences.

The organizers made an embarrassing mistake in the draw for the sixteenth final of the UK Open – but it remained completely without consequences.

On Friday evening after the completed round of the last 64, from which Martin Schindler was the only German victorious, there was an embarrassing breakdown. Sports moderator of the broadcasting transmitter ITV NED BOULTING pulled the ball with number 23 (Luke Humphries) – and then threw it back into the lottery, instead of putting them on the tableau.

Master of ceremonies John McDonald and ex-player Alan Warriner-Little recognized the faux pas and tried to prevent boulting from throwing the ball back into the lottery pot.

They did not succeed – and from now on the real problem followed. The protagonists just continued, Alan Warriner-Little moved with the next ball Dave Chisnall.

Bulting subsequently increased directly again – possibly with the aim of finding the Humphries ball, which should not be in the lottery pot – and then threw back the ball. Finally, there were 31 names on the stencil, while Humphries sparkled the ball alone in the pot.

“Now I think we have to wait again whether it all has its correctness. It looks a bit of Shady, ”said DAZN reporter Adrian Geiler in the live comment. The draw remained.
