Ice skating World Cup: No medal for the German team

Sophie Warmuth is 15. over 500 m

14 runners are at the start for the DEG in Hamar – but there was no sense of achievement on the first two World Cup days.

The German skating team also missed the hoped-for sense of achievement on the second World Cup day in Hamar in Norwegian. In the team tracking of the women, Lea-Sophie Scholz, Josephine Schlörp and Josie Hofmann came to fourth place, less than a second lacked bronze. The Dutchman secured the World Cup title.

Over 500 m, Sophie Warmuth and Anna Ostlender had nothing to do with the decision and ended up in ranks 15 and 19.

Waiting for the medal continues

There was no German team in the team tracking of the men, and no athlete from the German ice skate and shorttrack community (DEG) also competed over 500 m.

The World Cup on the train in the Viking ship, as the Norwegians christened their ice skate arena in Hamar, runs until Sunday. 14 runners – eight women and six men – reported the DEG for the season highlight.
