Manchester City secures a last-minute victory against Leeds United. Phil Foden saves Pep Guardiola’s team.

Lightning start and last-minute goal: After their Champions League defeat against Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester City is back on track in the domestic league.

Star coach Pep Guardiola’s team salvaged a 3-2 (2-0) against relegation-threatened Leeds United, coached by German manager Daniel Farke, and temporarily moved up to become the first challenger to FC Arsenal. They are four points behind the Gunners, who will face FC Chelsea in the top match on Sunday (from 5:30 PM).

Premier League: Lightning goal by Phil Foden

Phil Foden scored against Leeds after 59 seconds, the fastest goal of the Premier League season so far. After his failed rotation in the 0-2 loss against Bayer, Guardiola fielded his supposedly best eleven around Erling Haaland again, and former Leipzig player Josko Gvardiol (25th minute) extended the lead for the Skyblues, who were far superior in the first half.

However, Dominic Calvert-Lewin (49th minute) and former German international Lukas Nmecha (68th minute) surprisingly struck back.

While Haaland still has to wait for his 100th goal in the Premier League despite some chances, Foden saved City in the first minute of added time with his second goal of the day.
