Tarjei Bö will miss the sprint and the persecution at the World Cup final in Oslo. The hope is now on the mass start.

Biathlon star Tarjei Bö has to worry about his big goodbye to home to home.

As the Norwegian announced on Instagram on Thursday, he fails because of a fever at the World Cup final in Oslo for the sprint on Friday (1.30 p.m.) and the persecution on Saturday (1.45 p.m.). “Hopefully the whole thing turns so that I can run on Sunday,” wrote Bö.

Johannes Thingnes Bö last also struck

Then the final race is on the start of the mass (3:40 p.m.). Tarjei Bö and his brother Johannes Thingnes, who most recently had to deal with a cold and fever, end their successful careers after the current season.

The five -time Olympic champion Johannes Thingnes Bö had recently crowned the sole record world champion at the World Cup in Lenzerheide with his titles 21 to 23 and replaced Ole Einar Björndalen.

So far he has won 79 individual victories in the World Cup, plus the large crystal ball five times. Tarjei Bö also became the Olympic champion three times, won the overall World Cup and won twelve world championship titles.
