A great appearance for darts star Luke Littler. The reigning world champion was allowed to present his World Championship trophy at Old Trafford on Saturday on the sidelines of his beloved club Manchester United’s 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur.
At halftime, Littler entered the pitch with the big Sid Waddell Trophy, walked a few steps across the field, and presented his trophy to the United fans.
Again and again, he proudly raised the World Championship trophy. In January, the world number one had crowned himself world champion for the second time with a 7-1 victory against Gian van Veen.

Already after his first World Championship victory, Littler had brought the World Champion’s trophy to Old Trafford. Back then, however, it had been anything but a lucky charm. United lose 1-3 to Brighton.
This year, things went significantly better for his Red Devils. United won 2-0 with goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes.
For Littler, the visit to Old Trafford was a welcome change. Sportingly, he had suffered a severe setback during the week when he surprisingly lost 4-6 against van Veen in the first round of the Premier League opener.
