The German cross -country skiers won bronze in the season at the World Cup in Trondheim. The team sprint Olympic champions Victoria Carl and Katharina Hennig only had to surrender Sweden and Norway with Pia Fink and Helen Hoffmann after 4×7.5 km.
For the German cross-country team, it was the first precious metal in the competitions in Norway.

Final runner Carl secured the bronze medal on the home stretch in the sprint against Finnin Jasmi Joensuu. Germany got silver in Planica two years ago, it was the first relay medal for women since 2009.
Henning has to let it tear off
In a turbulent race, the favored Swedes initially fell far back after a break -in from the start runner Emma Ribom. Fink, which started for Germany, changed after a strong race as second behind Norway on Hennig.
However, the Oberwiesenthaler clearly lost to Swede Frida Karlsson, who passed, Hennig handed over to Hoffmann in position.
The U23 world champion was caught up by Finland, while Therese Johaug expanded the lead of the Norwegians. In the last two rounds, Carl and Joensuu were tasted – with the better end for the German. There was also a sprint that the Swede Jonna Sundling won against Kristin Austgula Fosnäs.
