Lionel Messi becomes part of an innovative art project by Inter Miami CF Foundation
The Argentinian already scored 800 goals in his career, the last one recently in the MLS against Minnesota. Fans and experts have been discussing for years, who should be emphasized due to the importance and perfection.
Fusion of football and art
On May 22nd, the chosen gate is to be published on all Canals of the Inter Miami CF Foundation and immortalized by Refik Anadol in his art.
The Turkish-American media artist is particularly known for his work with artificial intelligence and data. He will transform the goal chosen by Messi into a new work and thus combine the world of football with its art.
“It is very difficult to choose just one goal – each is something special in its own way, and some are really important or arouse incredible memories,” said Messi, adding: “But it is worth taking a goal as my favorite gate for the first time to enable this unique project. And I am very happy to be involved.”
Messi helps non -profit action
The entire project is devoted to a charitable purpose. The Inter Miami CF Foundation and Unicef will invest the money in educational programs in five countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“It is an extraordinary honor to work together with Leo Messi, one of the greatest athletes of our time, on a project, which supports non -profit organizations such as Unicef and combines the emotional tradition of sport with the future of art,” enthused Anadol.
Jorge Mas, managing owner of Inter Miami CF, was with anticipation: “This innovative collaboration brings together the largest football player in the world and a renowned artist to create a unique work in favor of our education initiatives. It will really be a work of work like no other.”
The finished work will be officially presented on June 11 by the world’s leading auction house Christie’s in New York.
