FC Bayern has a new national team player in its ranks. Felipe Chávez celebrated his debut for the Peruvian national team on Saturday night.
The 18-year-old, who had previously only played for the German record champion’s second team, was substituted in the 78th minute of the international match against Chile (1:2). He had surprisingly been called up to the squad for the first time before hand.

The midfielder has made eight appearances and contributed to three goals for the amateurs in this regional league season. In the Youth League, he scored a brace in the 2:3 match against Chelsea.
Chávez was born in Aichach to a Peruvian mother. He initially played in the youth team of FC Augsburg – in 2019 he moved to the Bayern campus.
