Sandro Schwarz is no longer the coach of Red Bull New York. Also, Sporting Director Jochen Schneider is leaving the franchise from the Big Apple.

Sandro Schwarz is no longer the coach of Red Bull New York. The football franchise from the Big Apple announced this on Monday. Additionally, Sporting Director Jochen Schneider is also leaving the MLS club; the 55-year-old has decided to return to his family in Europe.

Schwarz moved to New York in December 2023. Prior to that, he had worked on the sidelines in Germany for FSV Mainz 05 and Hertha BSC.

This season, the Red Bull team, for which Jürgen Klopp is also responsible in his role as “Head of Global Soccer,” missed the playoffs for the first time after 15 consecutive successful qualifications.

Schneider, previously the Sporting Director at Schalke 04 among other roles, started at Red Bull in June 2022.

Schneider’s successor will be former Hanover professional Julian de Guzman. Additionally, the club announced that the search for a new coach “begins immediately.”
