NBA: Next home defeat for Wagner, Hartenstein wins

Franz Wagner lost with the Orlando Magic

Franz Wagner has suffered another setback with Orlando Magic in the NBA. The world and European champion lost to the Chicago Bulls 98:110 with his team.

Wagner only managed 17 points and seven rebounds in the second consecutive home loss.

The Bulls pulled away from the end of the third quarter and also benefited from the hosts’ poor shooting percentage.

Tristan da Silva contributed eight points for the Florida team in his third season game, while Magic’s top scorer was Paolo Banchero with 24 points. Orlando now faces five consecutive away games.

Things are getting much better for Isaiah Hartenstein with NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder.

The defending champion defeated the Atlanta Hawks 117:100 and leads the Western Conference with three wins from three games.

Hartenstein recorded 14 points and ten rebounds, while Chet Holmgren with 31 and last season’s MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 30 points set the tone.

“There’s still room for improvement with us,” Holmgren stated afterwards: “We can go out and win, and that’s exactly what we did.”
