His exact role is still unclear, but Michael “Air” Jordan will return to the NBA stage next season. A good two years after retiring as a majority owner of Charlotte Hornets, the six-time champion will work as a “Special Contributor” (special officer) for NBC, the gifts “MJ” and the TV station on Monday.
“A legendary addition to our team! We are very happy to welcome Michael Jordan as a special officer for the NBA,” said NBC in a post on platform X and presented a short video from Jordan’s active times. It is the first job on television for the 62-year-old.
Jordan had won the title with the Chicago Bulls six times in the 1990s, and his successful career ended the five-time main and six-time Finals MVP 2003 at the Washington Wizards. NBC has been again broadcasting NBA transmitter since 2002, the contract is running for eleven years.
