New worries about Moukoko! Ex-BVB talent suffers a setback with a new club

The South Korean Heung-Min Son shaped an era at the Spurs. Now he wants to venture a new adventure again.

Youssoufa Moukoko’s dry spell continues. To make matters worse, the former BVB striker is now also facing injury concerns.

Nothing is going right for him: The former BVB striker Youssoufa Moukoko has not scored a competitive goal in over seven months – and now there is an injury as well.

In his fifth competitive match for his new club, FC Copenhagen, Moukoko remained without a goal of his own on Friday evening. In addition, he had to be substituted due to injury.

Moukoko has to leave due to injury

In the 2-0 win against promoted side FC Fredericia, Copenhagen coach Jacob Neestrup took the 20-year-old off the field in the 56th minute.

“He left the game with a slight injury. We have to see what that means. It’s too early,” said Neestrup after the final whistle – a precise diagnosis is still pending.

Moukoko moved from Dortmund to Copenhagen in the summer for around five million euros. The former child prodigy no longer had any prospects with the Black and Yellows.

The striker talent is also not getting going at the Danish first division club and is still lagging behind his form. After five competitive games, he only has one assist to his name.

Moukoko scored his last competitive goal on November 15, 2024 for the German U21 national team in the 3-0 win against Denmark. He was not considered for the European Championship by coach Antonio Di Salvo.
