For Olympic champion Lindvik, the series of unfortunate tournaments thus continues: in 2019/20 and 2021/22, he narrowly missed overall victory as runner-up in each case, and in 2020/21, he withdrew as a co-favorite due to toothache after the opener in Oberstdorf.
