The FC Liverpool strengthens itself for the upcoming season on the goalkeeper position. For the departing club, it is a record transfer.

New goalkeeper for FC Liverpool: The Reds have signed Ármin Pécsi.

The club announced the transfer on Saturday afternoon on the official club website. Pécsi moves from Hungarian first division club Puskás Akadémia to Anfield Road.

The club made no information about contract duration and transfer fee. According to media reports, this should be at 1.5 million British pounds, which would mean a record transfer for Puskás Akadémia.

The native Austrian (Hainburg on the Danube) Pécsi has the Hungarian citizenship and has so far played five international matches for the Hungarian U21 national team.

Pécsi made 30 appearances in the Hungarian top division in the past season. The 20-year-old is also nominated for the prestigious Golden Boy 2025 award.
