As in the previous year, German international Dylan Osetkowski won the title in the Basketball Champions League with top club Unicaja Málaga. The Spanish team around the American native prevailed in the final of the final four tournament in Athens against Galatasaray Istanbul from Turkey with 83:67 (37:31) and successfully defended his title. In 2024, Málaga had triumphed for the first time in the competition.

After the victory in the semi -finals on Friday against host Aek Athens (71:65) Osetkowski (28) also took the last step with Unicaja. The center came to nine points in the final.

World champion David Krämer had failed with the two -time champion of Lenovo Tenerife in the semi -finals. The team from the holiday island also lost the game for third place against Athens (73:77). Krämer, who, according to media reports, faces a move to Real Madrid, came up with 15 points as the best thrower of his team.

Osetkowski has been playing in Málaga since 2022 and now won his fifth title with the club. After receiving German citizenship in May 2020, he played two international matches in November 2024.
