Managing Director Krause leaves MBC
Just three days after the resignation of coach Marco Ramondino, the former Olympian’s time in Weißenfels has also come to an end.

Gone again: Konstantin Krause
Syntainics MBC from the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) cannot find peace. Three days after the resignation of coach Marco Ramondino, the cup winner announced the separation from Konstantin Krause – the managing director had only taken up his position on January 16, just over two weeks ago.
The club is “currently facing sporting and organizational challenges that now need to be tackled together,” the statement said briefly. Krause, an Olympic long jumper participant from Barcelona 1992, was hired on January 7. The 58-year-old was to be trained by managing partner Martin Geissler and be solely responsible for the economic affairs of Mitteldeutsche Basketball Marketing GmbH from March 1. This will not happen; Geissler will take over again until a successor is found.
Ramondino, who had only been in office since summer, made his position available on Monday after seven consecutive league defeats. Sporting director Silvano Poropat has taken over as an interim solution. For the 54-year-old, it is – albeit temporarily – already his fourth tenure as MBC coach.
