The fight for the eighth German ticket to the Darts World Championship is about to begin. SPORT1 will broadcast the PDC Europe Super League live on free-to-air TV and free stream.
Even before the 2026 Darts World Championship, it’s already clear: Germany is breaking a new record! For the first time, at least eight German players will participate in the biggest tournament of the year.
The PDC Europe Super League will decide who will travel to the World Championship as the eighth player. From November 4th to 7th, 2025, 24 players will compete in Hildesheim for a World Championship ticket. SPORT1 will broadcast the tournament live on free-to-air TV and livestream starting at 12:45 PM on Tuesday.
In the 13th edition of the Super League Darts, the field of participants was reduced from 30 to 24 players. Players from Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein could also have participated. However, only German players were able to prevail in the qualification via the PDC Next Gen rankings.
How to watch the PDC Europe Super League LIVE on SPORT1:
Before the start of the tournament, the 24 participants were divided into four groups of six players each. The top four players from each group qualify for the round of 16, which kicks off the knockout stage on Thursday. The final day follows on Friday, starting with the quarterfinals.
“The draw for the 2025 Super League promises us exciting matches at a high level,” said Philip Brzezinski, Head of Sports at PDC Europe: “We have a great mix of young talents and experienced veterans who have proven themselves in a long and challenging Next-Gen season. Especially in Group A, things could get tight early on, even for big names.”
Tournament in Hildesheim without defending champion Gotthardt
Last year, Kai Gotthardt celebrated the greatest success of his career by winning the tournament and qualifying for the World Championship at the legendary Alexandra Palace. There, he defeated Scot Alan Soutar 3-1, but was defeated by darts star Stephen Bunting in the second round.
As a Tourcard holder, Gotthardt is not eligible to play this year, but can secure his World Championship ticket at a decisive qualification tournament at the end of November, just like Florian Hempel.
