After a bumpy start, the German number 2 defeated the Pole Sebastian Bialecki with 6:2 in legs.

Pietreczko challenged against feared opponent
In the round of sixteen, “Pikachu” is challenged against number four seed Nathan Aspinall.
The last three matches against Aspinall were all lost, including the round of sixteen at the World Championship, where Pietreczko was defeated 0:4 in sets without a sound. Bizarre scenes took place on stage.
Against Bialecki, Pietreczko had a difficult start, but then ignited the turbo at 2:2 in legs and won four legs in a row.
