Darts on TV today: How you can follow the 1st matchday of the Premier League LIVE today

Even before the darts fly in Newcastle, SPORT1 will open the evening from 7:20 PM with Madhouse – The SPORT1 Darts Show .

Presenter Katharina Kleinfeldt, commentator Basti Schwele and expert Robert Marijanovic will get viewers in the mood for the evening in Newcastle. World Championship participant and SPORT1 expert Max Hopp will also be connected to the broadcast.

Littler meets Gian van Veen

The eight players will, as usual, first face each other in four quarter-final matches. Josh Rock and Jonny Clayton will kick off the first matchday. This will be followed by the first big clash: current World Champion Luke Littler meets world number three Gian van Veen.

The winners of the four duels advance to the semi-finals and play for a spot in the final. Those who prevail receive five points for the table, the finalist three. Those who fail in the first game receive no points. In the semi-finals, the professionals receive two points.

The four players with the most points after 16 match days will advance to the playoffs. On May 28, a new champion will be sought at the O2 Arena in London. World Champion Luke Littler will try to dethrone his long-standing rival Luke Humphries again.
