Felix Kroos reveals in the SPORT1 Doppelpass why he and his brother Toni are now members of Newcastle United.
“Toni and I watched the match between Newcastle and Liverpool and analyzed it a bit. We were totally impressed by Newcastle, how they equalized a 0:2 deficit while being outnumbered against a team like Liverpool, but unfortunately lost in the end,” reported Felix Kroos.

“Then Newcastle contacted us”
He elaborated: “Our opinion afterward was: That was the best performance by a losing team and the worst performance by a winning team. That’s when we became fans, and we discussed it in the podcast.”
Kroos revealed: “Then Newcastle contacted us and sent us jerseys. It also said that we are now officially ‘Members of Newcastle’ and we are happy to be that.”
Kroos brothers in the ticket lottery
Not only German Nick Woltemade impressed the Kroos brothers, but especially Newcastle per Dan Burn: “He even sent us a voice message saying that we are now included in the ticket lottery. Maybe we’ll be lucky.”
On Thursday, the Kroos brothers announced their membership with Newcastle United in their podcast Simply Luppen . “We can announce: We are officially members of Newcastle United,” explained Felix Kroos. Brother Toni added: “We are officially Magpies.”
