Premier League: Long Chelsea -Streichlist – with a big name

RĂºben Amorim took over the coaching post at Manchester United in November and was part of the worst season since 1974. He looks back on the past season with honest words.

Nine Chelsea players have been removed from the squad list on the official website. Among them are Raheem Sterling and a BVB target.

Nine Chelsea players have been removed from the squad list on the official website of FC Chelsea.

One of them is former superstar Raheem Sterling. The Englishman, who joined the Blues in 2022 for 56 million euros, spent last season at FC Arsenal. Coach Enzo Maresca apparently has no place or need for the 30-year-old in the upcoming season either.

In addition to Sterling, other players who were loaned out by the club last season are also missing, such as Lesley Ugochukwu, Armando Broja, and Alfie Gilchrist. It is particularly bitter for the latter. They spent their entire youth at the Club World Cup winner. Now they probably have no future there.

Carney Chukwuemeka is also missing from the English club’s list. The BVB target returned to Chelsea after being eliminated from the Club World Cup with Dortmund. BVB is still interested in the 21-year-old.

The Blues paid over 230 million euros in transfer fees for the nine players no longer listed.

The Premier League club is known to have a very large squad. This now needs to be reduced. Chelsea has already loaned out six players for the new season.

31 players are now officially part of the first team, according to Chelsea’s website.

Despite the new transfers that have already been made, the Club World Cup winner is still interested in other players, such as Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. The club has already signed Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Jamie Gittens.

It is surprising, however, that Mykhaylo Mudryk, who is suspended due to a positive doping test, can be found in the list. Christopher Nkunku, who could still leave the club, is also listed.
