Manchester United is looking for a new coach after Ruben Amorim’s dismissal. Two familiar faces are said to be the favorites for the job.
Who will be the new coach of Manchester United? According to information from the English medium Daily Mail , there are two favorites in the race to succeed former coach Ruben Amorim.
Accordingly, it is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick. One of the two could provisionally take over the Red Devils until the end of the season, according to the report. After that, they apparently want to position themselves for the future.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer together with his former assistant coach Michael Carrick
Will Solskjaer return to his old stomping ground?
According to the report, both candidates spoke by phone with CEO Omar Berrada and Sporting Director Jason Wilcox on Tuesday. However, a decision is only to be made after they meet them in person.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Solskjaer has shown great interest in the job – regardless of the contract duration.
The Norwegian was active for United as a player between 1996 and 2007, and as head coach (2018 and 2021). He is considered a favorite for the position and is currently without a team.
Carrick was once Solskjaer’s assistant coach
Curiously: His assistant coach at the time was Carrick. He stepped in for three games when Solskjaer was dismissed in November 2021.
After Amorim’s departure, United legend Darren Fletcher has been leading the training so far. He will also be on the sidelines for Wednesday evening’s match in Burley (from 9:15 PM in the live ticker). Apparently, the Scot is not the preferred solution for the bosses.
