Norway threatens a further resignation of a biathlon star. The trainer does not want to overestimate the clear statements of Ingrid Landmark Tindrevold.
On Friday, biathlon star Ingrid Landmark Tankrevold only ranked 55 after three misconceptions in the sprint in their home game in Oslo – after that, the Norwegian was drawn to statements, who are causing a lot of vertebrae, especially in Scandinavia.
“At the moment I don’t feel a great motivation for a complete new training year. I have the feeling that I invested a lot of work last year, but I only got very little paid back. Then you get to a point where you feel: How much should I put in if it does not produce any results?”

When asked whether she will continue her career because of the Olympic Winter Games in the coming year, Tandrevold only said: “We will see.”

The end of the season in the biathlon triggers mixed feelings with the Norwegian. She is happy, but: “On the other hand, I have the feeling that I missed so much that I would like to continue. You can feel that more is in you than came out.”
Due to heart problems, the 28-year-old missed a large part of the season. Meanwhile, the Norwegian coach Patrick Oberegger did not want to overestimate the statements by Tankrevold. In Dagbladet he even said that only the disappointment spoke of her.
“It was a special year for Ingrid. She organizes her whole life after training. Sometimes things feel hopeless. But that can change quickly. If you look at things at a little distance, you look a little different,” explained Oberegger.
For Norway, Tangrevold’s resignation would be a shock after Tiril Eckhoff and Marte Olsbu Röiseland have ended their career in the past few years and after this season the Bö-Brüder also hang their rifles and skis.
