At the UK Open, only one German participant reaches the second day of the tournament. Luke Littler cheers in the Decider, while two top stars fail.
Martin Schindler highly holds up the German flag at the UK Open (live on free TV and in livestream). “The Wall” prevailed on Friday evening in the fourth round with 10: 7 in the Legs against Mario Vandenbogaerde and is the only player from Germany who is still in minhead on Saturday. In the fifth round, Schindler meets the Irish Dylan Slevin.
Schindler, who only got into the tournament in the fourth round, did not bare against the Belgian overall and played the better average with 92.28 points. With a 14-darter he made the victory perfect.

The evening for Ricardo Pietreczko was less successful: “Pikachu” was defeated in a gripping match the Latvian Madars Razma with 9:10.
After a weak start (1: 5), the German struggled back impressively and even took the lead for the first time at 8: 7, but Razma checked 115 points in the decisive leg for the match win.
The Average also spoke for the Latvian: with 92.67 points per recording, it was ahead of Pietreczko, which came to 86.45 points.
Littler defeats Wright – Humphries also cheers
World champion Luke Littler is also in the fifth round of the UK Open. The 18-year-old fought a high-class duel with ex-world champion Peter Wright and needed an absolute top performance to win. In the end, Littler prevailed against the experienced Scots with 10: 9 and played an outstanding average of 108.69 points.
On the other hand, women’s world champion Beau Greaves missed a surprise against Luke Humphries. Although Greaves started the game furiously with two high finishes, she ended up looking against “Cool Hand Luke” with 7:10.

From the top ten of the Order of Merit, two players had to pack their suitcases. Stephen Bunting lost number eight in the world, Chris Dobey, with 6:10. The 9:10 defeat by Gerwyn Price against Connor Scutt was even more surprising.
All other German participants had already failed in the previous rounds. Gabriel Clemens said goodbye to the tournament in a particularly dramatic manner: in the third round he lost to the Englishman Ricky Evans 5: 6 in the legs.
