Dennis Schröder talks about his new challenge with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The trade was “not surprising” for him.

Basketball world champion Dennis Schröder is looking forward to the challenge with the Cleveland Cavaliers and has promised fans of the NBA team “110 percent effort in every game.”

“I always put the team first, and if something needs to be said, I will say it. I am never afraid of the moment,” emphasized the captain of the German national team in an Instagram video. He spoke of “dog mentality,” which stands for, among other things, special determination and willingness to work.

NBA: Schröder discusses his trade

The 32-year-old was transferred from the Sacramento Kings to the Cavaliers, marking the eleventh time Schröder has changed teams in his NBA career. “I knew it was happening,” Schröder said. He had noticed the talk from outside, so “the move was not surprising,” he emphasized.

Initially, he thought about his family and the logistical challenge of moving within the USA, but excitement quickly spread. “I’m really excited,” said Schröder, who has known coach Kenny Atkinson for many years. When the German played for the Atlanta Hawks, Atkinson was an assistant coach there; as a player, the American was active for SG Braunschweig, among other teams.
