After his resignation from competitive sports, ski jumper Markus Eisenbichler is now devoting himself to new passions – and still remains loyal to sport.
The 2019 ski jumping world champion, who officially ended his active career at the World Cup final in Planica at the end of March, is now active on the soccer field.
As reported , the 32-year-old has already been used for his home club, TSV Siegsdorf, in the 3rd team for the first time. On the 18th matchday of the C-Class, Bavaria’s weakest division in amateur football, he came into play against ASV Piding II as a Joker.
Another winter athlete in the team
For Eisenbichler, who is deeply rooted in his homeland, football is apparently a welcome opportunity to stay active in sports and to continue enjoying club life.
