“We decided to send a men’s team to Lahti after we had good conversations with the athletes. Last weekend, a young team was able to gain experience at the highest international level, and there is no doubt that they would like to get more, ”said Norway’s sports director Jan-Erik Aalbu in an official announcement by Norges Skiforbund.
On Saturday, the person responsible was still considering drawing an early line. In this case, Norway would have nominated no team for the outstanding World Cup stations in Lahti (Finland) and Planica (Slovenia).
