Snowfall: World Cup runs moved to Sun Valley

Overall World Cup winner Marco Odermatt

The races in the USA will start later. If you fail, there is no replacement.

Strong snowfall in the night of Saturday caused a delay at the final of the Alpine World Ski World Cup in Sun Valley in the US state of Idaho.

As the World Association FIS announced on Saturday afternoon, men and women’s departures were postponed to the back due to “persistent work on the route”.

The men start around three hours later at 9:00 p.m. (CET), the women start instead of 7.30 p.m. at 10 p.m. (CET).

From a German perspective, the recently very successful Emma Aicher and Kira Weidle-Winkelmann are candidates for a podium. Romed Baumann and junior world champion Felix Rösle start as an outsider when the men depart.

If the races cannot be held, they will not be made up for.

In this case, Marco Odermatt (Switzerland) and Federica Brignone (Italy) would be the winners of the small crystal ball for the best downhills of the World Cup season.

In any case, both are already the winner of the overall World Cup. The other decisions will be held on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
