Surprising Kroos revelation: “We are officially Magpies”

Felix Kroos is approached about a bet with SPORT1 expert Stefan Effenberg at the Icon League. He promises to pay off his debts in a double pass.

Revelation of the Kroos Brothers: Both are now members of a Premier League club.

In their careers, neither Toni Kroos nor Felix Kroos played in England, but now the football brothers are both members of a Premier League club. They announced this in their podcast Simply Luppen .

“We can announce: We are officially members of Newcastle United,” explained Felix Kroos. Brother Toni added: “We are officially Magpies.”

The membership with the club of national striker Nick Woltemade does not come by chance. As early as August, the brothers had raved about the club in their podcast.

The occasion was Newcastle’s performance in the 2:3 loss against Liverpool FC. Although the team lost, they were convincing across the board.

“I will sign up as a Newcastle member today,” Toni Kroos said casually at the time and raved especially about one Newcastle player: defender Dan Burn.

“A proper nasty bloke. Ten seconds before every corner and every throw-in, he had already pushed everyone at least once,” said the long-time Real star.

That the brothers are now actually members of the English club is also likely due to the persistence of the Magpies. “Newcastle stayed on it. We are very satisfied with that, very happy,” raved Toni Kroos.

According to Felix, the brothers received a “nice package” as a welcome greeting from the club – including personalized home jerseys.

The “cherry on the cake,” as Toni Kroos put it, also came in the form of a message from Dan Burn. He thanked them for the support: “I heard your kind words in the podcast,” said the defender.

As the next step, the brothers now want to tackle a stadium visit.
