Tel? Trade coach criticizes German press

The time of Kevin de Bruyne at Manchester City is coming to an end. What his new club will be called is still unclear, but he announces a decision.

Does Mathys Tel stay with the Spurs? Tottenham coach Postecoglou is commented on the rumors about a Bayern return.

Striker Mathys Tel, as a loan player, has been part of the Tottenham Hotspur squad since the beginning of February. But although the young Frenchman has only been playing in the Premier League for a good two months, there are already countless reports as to whether, when and at what conditions he will return to FC Bayern – or not.

At the press conference of the Spurs before the league game against the Wolverhampton Wanderers (Sunday from 3 p.m. in the live ticker), head coach Poseteclou took a stand on the topic.

“You shouldn’t believe everything in the German press,” he said – and added: “This actually applies to the press every nowadays. Although I should not say press, but in general. The times when everything has been checked twice and triple, and compared with three sources are long over.”

Tel for Tottenham “important”

According to Postecoglou, Tel is “important” for Tottenham. “People forget that when he got to us, he had hardly played at Bavaria – and we just thrown it into the cold water,” said the coach.

“He played one game after another and it was always a big task for him, but that is the challenge he had.”

In the meantime, the attacker has completed numerous training sessions with his new club. “We really believe that he can do something, and physically he is doing much better now,” the head coach is certain.

“He is in a much better constitution and understands our game much better, so we will continue to work with him. I still think he’s great talent and I am glad that we have it.”

The loan agreement of Tel expires in summer, Tottenham has a purchase option of 50 million euros.
