UK Open: Littler storms into the semi -finals – Humphries flies out!

Luke Littler wins in the round of 16 of the Darts UK Open against Krzysztof Ratajski and faces Gian van Veen in the quarterfinals.

Luke Littler is the first player in the semi -finals of the UK Open. However, the tournament is over for number one.

Luke Humphries said goodbye to the UK Open in the quarter -finals! The number one in the darts world rankings lost to his English compatriot James Wade in a gripping duel with 9:10.

The game was initiated by a bizarre incident – but the Humphries did not get out of rest. The superstar showed a strong idea in phases and led, among other things, 6: 4 and 8: 7.

But Wade always stayed tuned – and had its nerve in the decisive last leg to close the sack. Humphries made a three-way average of 100.92, but Wade was just behind (99.89).

Littler shows his whole class

Meanwhile, world champion Luke Littler confirmed his top form and moved into the semi-finals. Against Gian van Veen, the Englishman won 10: 4 in the legs.

The 18-year-old played his whole class in Minehead, Van Veen could only keep up at the beginning. After the Dutch checked 161 points spectacularly and then shortened to 2: 3, Littler lit the turbo and in the meantime moved to 8: 3.

Van Veen was still able to win a leg, but with a 102 finish and the first match dart, Littler made the victory and moving into the semi-finals perfect.

With an outstanding average of 107.3 points, seven 180s and a double quota of almost 50 percent, “The Nuke” played a strong match and remains one of the top favorites on the title.

“I am very happy with my performance,” said Littler after the game in an interview with ITV . In addition to Littler and Wade, Josh Rock and Jonny Clayton also moved into the semi -finals (from 8 p.m. on TV on Sport1 ). There, Littler meets Clayton before rock and calf play the second final participant.
