The FC Liverpool will play a friendly match against AC Milan. New signing Florian Wirtz is likely to appear in front of the Reds’ fans for the first time.
As part of their pre-season preparations, FC Liverpool will face AC Milan on Saturday (from 1.30 p.m. in the LIVETICKER). The new edition of the legendary 2005 Champions League final will take place at the Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong.
The focus is primarily on Florian Wirtz. Liverpool fans will probably be able to see the new signing from Bayer Leverkusen live in action for the first time.
Florian Wirtz is about to make his first public appearance for FC Liverpool
The German international already was on the pitch last Sunday in the 5-0 win against the English second division side Stoke City, but the test took place behind closed doors.
Hugo Ekitiké, who the Reds recently signed from Eintracht Frankfurt, could also make his debut for his new club. The French striker has already completed his first training sessions with the team.
Ex-Leverkusen player Jeremie Frimpong already made his debut almost two weeks ago in the 3-1 win against Preston North.
For Milan, it is already the second test against a team from the Premier League. The Italians, who are also preparing for the season in Asia, lost 1-0 to FC Arsenal on Wednesday. However, Milan won the subsequent penalty shoot-out 6-5.
