Leroy Sané proved his goal-scoring qualities with his first brace for Galatasaray Istanbul.
The 29-year-old scored the opening goal shortly before halftime (45+3′) in the 2-1 (1-0) away win against neighbors Istanbul Basaksehir under former BVB coach Nuri Sahin, before adding the final point in the 61st minute.

Sané fights for DFB return
For Sané, who recently made headlines due to a brawl at the Munich Oktoberfest and is fighting for a return to the national team, these were his second and third league goals of the season in the Süper Lig.
It was Sané’s first brace in over two years. Sané last scored twice in the 4-0 win against Werder Bremen on August 18, 2023 – back then still wearing the Bayern jersey.
