Mathys Tel speaks in the highest terms about Bayern star Harry Kane. After his move to the Premier League, the former teammate offered Tel his advice.
Mathys Tel and Harry Kane played together at FC Bayern for one and a half years. Even after his departure, Tel continues to speak in the highest terms about his former teammate and about the help he receives from Kane.
“Harry Kane has helped me a lot. Four days ago he sent me a message and we talked about how I can improve, about finishing behavior and positioning in the penalty area,” revealed the 20-year-old in an interview with The Telegraph .
“It’s very good because he takes the time to talk to me and explain how I can improve. For me, he is the best striker in the world, and he has just played 13 games and scored 21 goals. It’s only October!” Tel enthused and added: “He is a very good guy.”
Tel played as a loan player at Tottenham Hotspur for almost five months before permanently moving to Kane’s former club last July. Kane then even offered the striker his advice – and not just in the context of football.
“If you want to call me, just call me. We’ll talk and try to figure out what’s best for you,” Kane wrote to the Frenchman.
The Englishman continued: “If you want to talk about football, if you don’t want to talk about football, if you want to talk about life, I’m always there for you.”
