City torments Guardiola: “I lost my hair”

On the PK before the game against Fulham, Pep Guardiola is very short. The City coach doesn't believe Phil Foden's late winner against Leeds says anything about his team's mentality.

5:4 after 5:1: The wild game of Manchester City at FC Fulham left its mark on Pep Guardiola.

Pep Guardiola was on edge at the end, but the head coach of Manchester City didn’t let the wild game at FC Fulham spoil his good mood.

“Did you guys have fun? Yes? Was nice, wasn’t it?” the Spaniard said to the assembled press after the final whistle and of course received the counter-question directly. “Me? Oh my god. I lost my hair,” Guardiola joked, running his hand over his bald head.

Pep Guardiola must suffer

The Citizens had seemingly taken a comfortable 5-1 lead at Craven Cottage on Tuesday evening after an own goal by Sander Berge (54th), but then it became exciting again. Alex Iwobi (57th) and Samuel Chukwueze (72nd/78th) reduced the deficit to 4:5, but that was all they could manage, City took the three points with them.

Nine-Goal Madness: “It’s the Premier League”

“It’s the Premier League. In another league you have control, but it’s the Premier League,” Guardiola said about the course of the game. “I know you’re going to ask: What happened? What happened? But I have no answer.”

With the hard-fought victory, the Skyblues maintained their second place behind leaders FC Arsenal. Most recently, Guardiola’s team had to worry in the last-minute victory (3:2) against bottom side Leeds United from German coach Daniel Farke.
