In Inter Milan’s dominant victory over Sassuolo Calcio, a German international player was among those successful.

Inter Milan continues to maintain its high pace at the top of Serie A. Thanks to a goal from German international Yann-Aurel Bisseck, the Champions League finalist won 5:0 (2:0) against Sassuolo Calcio and extended their lead over rivals AC Milan to a provisional eight points.

The city rival was not in action on the 24th matchday because the duel with Como 1907 was postponed to February 18 due to the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in San Siro.

Serie A: Bisseck puts Inter in the lead

Bisseck (11th minute) put Inter in the lead early with a header; it was the defender’s second goal of the season. Shortly after, he could have scored again, but his shot was blocked at the last moment (13th minute).

Marcus Thuram (28th minute) made it 2-0. After the break, Lautaro Martinez (50th minute), former Dortmund player Manuel Akanji (54th minute), and Luis Henrique (89th minute) were successful. Nemanja Matić (54th minute) also received a yellow-red card immediately after Akanji’s goal.

For Inter, it was their 19th win of the season and their fourth in a row. In the league, Milan has not lost since November 23 – when they suffered a 0-1 defeat against local rivals Milan.
