Prince William convinced: Tuchel “exactly the right one”

Prince William is convinced by Thomas Tuchel

The British heir to the throne believes in the World Cup title with Tuchel as an English national coach.

Prince William believes in winning the title at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico with the new English national coach Thomas Tuchel. “It would be incredible if he could win the World Cup next year. It is definitely possible,” said the British heir to the throne in an interview with the “Sun”.

Tuchel celebrates its premiere as a coach of the Three Lions next Friday (8:45 p.m.) against Albania in the Wembley Stadium. Since his obligation, the discussions have had been in the case of whether a national coach must also be an Englishman. In the history of the football mother country, only two came from abroad in front of Tuchel in Fabio Capello and the now deceased Sven-Göran Eriksson.

“I understand the debate whether a national coach has to be an Englishman,” said William: “But for me it should be the best person for the job – and Thomas is exactly the right one.” Tuchel is “one of the best five coaches in the world,” said William.

Tuchel selected his squad for the first time on Friday. With the nomination of Jordan Henderson, the 51-year-old caused a big surprise that was not well received everywhere.
