Joey Barton has such a bad reputation like hardly any other (ex) professional – and has now been convicted again for an act of violence. The former English soccer player received a suspended sentence of twelve weeks in June 2021 because of an attack on his wife – and thus got away lightly.
The Barton, which is now now 42 years old, was found to be guilty that his wife Georgia came to the ground in a drunken state in the common house and kicked her head. Although Barton “has a violent history,” said the judge, he was able to refrain from an immediate imprisonment. Barton is still with his wife, the couple has a small child.
Due to the life of the former professional of Manchester City and Olympique Marseille, scandals rose in a loose episode. Sometimes he pushed out a cigar in the eye of a youth player or hit a team -mate -ready -up team and taught his German coaching colleague Daniel Stendel a bloody face. In 2007 he landed in jail for 74 days for 74 days for a passer -by in Liverpool.
