Luke Littler reached the semi -finals on the eighth matchday of the Premier League. Opponent Stephen Bunting, on the other hand, continues to wait for his first victory.
World champion Luke Littler has underpinned its captivating form in the Premier League (live on TV on Sport1 and in the Livestream) and clearly conquered Stephen Bunting in the quarter -finals of the eighth match day in Newcastle.
“The Nuke” started furiously against his compatriot and threw six perfect darts in the first leg. But Bunting came up again and suddenly had the chance to win the leg – but missed all three darts. So Littler grabbed the first leg.
Luke Littler clearly beat Stephen Bunting
After that, the 18-year-old was unstoppable and got all the remaining legs. With an average of almost 110 points and a double quota of 50 percent, he showed merciless.
Bunting continued to win
Bunting himself did not play a bad game from scoring (over 102 points), at 0: 2 there was only another chance to check a leg – and also missed them.
This continues the horror series of “The Bullet”, which was not yet able to win a single game this season. The 39-year-old stays last of the table, while Littler continues to greet from the top.
In the semifinals, Littler now meets Rob Cross, who defeated Gerwyn Price 6-2. The other quarter -finals are performing Luke Humphries and Chris Dobey as well as Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall. The latter comes to Newcastle after winning the European Darts Trophy with a lot of confidence.
