The 24 -year -old does not feel comfortable – and therefore does without the last season competition.
Ski jumper Philipp Raimund will not compete in the last competition of the season due to his current problems with fear of heights.
“I won’t fly,” said the 24-year-old Oberstdorfer on Saturday in the ARD with a view of the World Cup final of the top 30 on Sunday on the flight ski jump in the Slovenian Planica (9.30 a.m. in the live ticker).
“Things in my head that I can’t paint away”
Raimund got a start for a start in Planica on the first three days. “But I will tackle the matter next year. I still have a few things in my head that I can’t yet paint away,” said Raimund, who wants to approach the flight feeling on the smaller big hill from Planica.
The World Cup sixth raimund flew from the “Monsterbakken” in Vikersund in the current season, but the Springer’s air stand in Planica is exceptionally high.
“I usually have this under control, and normally it is not a problem with ski jumping,” Raimund had explained on Thursday on social media about his height problems, because of which he had already left the first competitions in Planica: “However, from time to time, I have the case, especially when ski flying, without being able to influence it. Watch while I am kept in a claw. “
