Franziska Preuss is a week after her biathlon victory in another winter sports event. A random encounter at the airport was the trigger.
The biathlon season has ended successfully – but overall World Cup winner Franziska Preuß once again honored himself at another event before completing the sports winter.
Preuss is on site at the season end of the ski jumper in Planica and surprisingly performed on Sunday during the ARD broadcast. In an interview with moderator Lea Wagner, the 30-year-old revealed the background of her visit.

Random encounter was the trigger
“When we landed from Oslo in Munich after the return flight, we met the ski jumpers,” said Preuß that the DSV eagles then made her a visit to Planica tasty: “We then saw that it was not far away from Ruhpolding – and we went away and wanted to experience it because it was something else. It is super impressive.”
From the point of view of Preuss, the almost three hours of car hour (249 kilometers) was very worthwhile: “I like watching really well. It is cool to see which speed they shoot down and also what sound it does. Really mega-interesting.”
On the occasion, Preuss also gave an insight into how the week after the dramatic World Cup decision against Lou JeanMonnot went: “The week was a lot going on, lots of leisure stress. You finally wanted to do something with friends and family, which was recently neglected. Now we are going on vacation soon and then everything will be able to sink something.” Prussia and partner Simon Schempp are planning a trip to Thailand.
