The Swiss ski star Urs Kryenbühl ends his career with immediate effect. This was reported by the Swiss Association on Friday.

“I was able to experience some nice moments in the Ski World Cup, but unfortunately also the dark side,” the 31-year-old is quoted in the message.

The speed driver comes to 62 starts in the World Cup in his career, three times he drove on the podium. Numerous falls and injuries kept throwing him back.

Kryenbühl fell heavily in Kitzbühel

“Again and again I fought myself back, let these challenges grow in me, who made me the person I am today and I am really proud of that,” said Kryenbühl.

In 2021, the Swiss fell heavily in Kitzbühel, who injured his head, knee and the shoulder. There were also a long time to create knee problems. His last World Cup start was in December 2022.
