Barcelona: League makes an objection to Olmo decision

As expected, the league appealed against the decision of the sports council.

New development in the tugging of Dani Olmo: The Spanish league lodged an administrative complaint and “preliminary measures” against the right to play by European champion Olmo and his team -mate Pau VĂctor on Monday.

The National Sports Council (CSD) had decided in favor of the club and declared the withdrawal of the preliminary game permissions for “zero and void”. In a statement, the Spanish league now called for an “urgent judicial answer” on behalf of the sporting fairness.

League and Barca have been fighting for a long time

The former Leipziger Olmo currently lacks the Catalans due to injury and misses the Champions League quarter-finals against Borussia Dortmund (April 9/15), according to CSD, however, has been able to appear again in the Blaugrana jersey since January.

According to the league, the licenses of the two Spaniards, who were temporarily registered at the beginning of the season due to the injury to the Danish Andreas Christensen, are “automatically exported”.

There had already been problems with the Olmos registration in summer because Barca had to adapt to the association’s fair play rules. So far, European champion Olmo has been running a total of 28 times for Barca, with 13 goal participations.
