The Italian top biathlete Tommaso Giacomel lets the muscles play on unusual terrain and sets an exclamation mark on cross-country skiing. In the end, he even dupes specialists from Germany.
Biathlon star Tommaso Giacomel is more than competitive not only with, but also without rifle on the back: the Italian was on Wednesday in Val di Fiemme on unusual terrain in the cross-country skiing and promptly won a race.
Giacomel won over the ten kilometers as part of the Five Nations Trophy and referred to the places with a total time of 25:16 minutes. Just behind the 25-year-old: his compatriot Elia Barp, full-time cross-country skier. Third, the German cross -country skier Friedrich Moch finished 35 seconds behind, and at least twelfth of the overall World Cup last winter.
Tommaso Giacomel also demonstrated his skills in cross -country skiing
Fillon Maillet, Kühn, Zobel and Rees also
Giacomel, who won his first Biathlon World Cup race in Ruhpolding in January, confirmed its good shape. But other biathletes who wanted to measure themselves in the cross -country skiing were also at the start. Quentin Fillon Maillet from France took a good fourth place.
Johannes Kühn made the jump among the top ten as ninth. Roman Rees and David Zobel landed in ranks 15 and 22, the German combiner Johannes Rydzek was 26.
It is not uncommon for biathletes, biathletes or combiners to try in cross -country skiing after the season. The effort to carry out a competition is much lower there.
A few days ago, among other things, the Finnish biathlon icon Kaisa Mäkäräinen made headlines when she won on the first stage of the “Lapponia Ski Week”.
Previously, Mäkäräinen, 42 years old and has actually been retired for five years, also prevailed at the Finnish biathlon championships and won gold in the sprint.
