When clapping on the court, the coach of Bayern Munich’s basketball players got together with opponents Nikola Kalinic, but after the violent word battle, the world champion coach quickly found his dry humor back.
“We only talked about the ice hockey results from last night. I was a bit disappointed that my favorite team lost,” Herbert joked about his examination of Kalinic after the dramatic 97:93 (84:84, 39:46) victory after extra time in the Play-in tournament against Red Stern Belgrad, who promoted Bavaria for the playoffs.
“We should drink every three beer”
