In the first play-off round of the NBA between Orlando Magic and Meister Boston Celtics, the roles for the 2011 champion are clearly distributed.
Dirk Nowitzki sees basketball world champion Franz Wagner in the round duel of the NBA play-offs against defending champion Boston Celtics as an outsider. “The Matchup against Boston is of course very hard, but they beat the Celtics last week to get seventh place at all. They can go in with confidence, but they are absolutely underdog. But the pressure is a little gone. They can play emotionally and can show their athletics,” said the German icon in the DAZN interview.
On Wednesday night, Orlando solved the play-off ticket with a 120: 95 victory in the Play-in tournament against the Atlanta Hawks. The round of 16 series against Boston starts on Sunday (9:30 p.m.), as is well known, the game is played in the best-of-seeven mode.
In the final phase of the regular season, Wagner and Co. defeated the Celtics with 20 points difference, but Boston protected all the star players there. For Wagner it is the second play-off participation after Orlando failed in the first round of the Cleveland Cavaliers last year.
